Argentina has unveiled its 18-man football squad for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with a blend of youth and experience looking to replicate the success of previous campaigns.

The squad, led by U23 head coach Javier Mascherano, includes 15 players in the Under-23 age category and three overage players. The team will be aiming to secure a third Olympic gold medal in men's football, following their triumphs in 2004 and 2008.

Notable inclusions include four players who featured in Argentina's World Cup campaign last year – goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma, defender Nicolas Tagliafico, midfielder Enzo Fernandez, and forward Julian Alvarez. These experienced players will provide guidance and leadership to the younger members of the squad.

Argentina will be hoping to build on their strong pedigree at the Olympics, where they first won a medal in 1928. In the Paris Games, they will be aiming to improve on their bronze medal finish in Tokyo 2020.
